The upcoming expansion for The Sims 4 Growing Together adds a slew of family interactions, new systems called milestones and social compatibility, as well as infant Sims.
Fear not, as kids will be coming to all players in the core game update. They will have a variety of clothes, hairstyles, accessories, quirks and special interactions. You can buy and use baby-focused furniture such as a changing station or play mat. Adults can also carry their babies around the world in a special backpack.
A variety of new interactions have also been added. Adults can now interact with children, including their grandchildren, in new ways. Toddlers, just like babies, also receive new quirks like Picky Eater or Early Riser. Kids have four new aspirations: slumber party animal, mind and body, playtime captain, and creative genius.
Sims now also have social compatibility, which reflects not just whether two Sims will get along, but how they work (or not). Sims can be competitive together or practical jokers for example. Another new system, Milestones, is a way to define Sims’ growth and life experience.. Some milestones are associated with certain stages of life such as a midlife crisis. Others are related to specific life events, such as a career hitch. Each infant also has a set of milestones that provide a guide to the infant’s life stage.
Growing Together presents San Sequoia’s Bayfront Township. It includes three neighborhoods: Anchorpoint Wharf, Gilbert Gardens, and Hopewell Hills. The town has an urban park, pier, and many Craftsman-style homes. The Michaelson family, teased in the first Behind The Sims video, will also be among the townspeople.
The Growing Together expansion will be released on March 16, 2023. Available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S. You can find out more details on The Sims website. If you purchase the expansion from February 2nd to April 27th, you’ll get some extra goodies like a swing set and a toddler carrier.
