previously announced whisper me a love song The anime adaptation revealed a new key visual. Additionally, four new voice actors join the cast: Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi, Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsuitsui, Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana, and Yuna Nemoto as Shiho Izumi. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.
Yokohama Animation Lab is overseeing production while studio Cloud Hearts is animating. Xin Ya Cai is directing the series, Hiroki Uchida is writing the scripts, and Minami Yoshida is doing the character designs. The main cast consists of Hana Shimano as Himari Kino and Asami Seto as Yori Asanagi.
The television anime is adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Eku Takeshima that was initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime in 2019 and currently has 6 volumes in circulation. Kodansha Comics is licensing the manga in English. They described the first volume as follows:
Cheerful and energetic high school freshman Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band play on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori that she just loves her and to Himari’s surprise, Yori says that she loves Himari too! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai feel two different kinds of love, she begins to wonder what “love” really means.
